In July, Tim Dillow joined The Retirement Network as the firm’s director of planning. In this newly created role, Tim will work with clients to develop holistic strategies that coordinate all aspects of clients’ financial lives, including asset allocation, tax planning, insurance, and cash-flow analysis.
“Tim’s deep experience helping individuals and families understand how all of the various pieces of wealth management fit together will be a tremendous resource for our clients,” said Drew Grider, president and CEO of The Retirement Network. “Our goal is to help clients define their vision for a successful retirement and then put a strategy in place to turn that vision into reality, and Tim’s expertise allows us to do that for even more clients.”
Tim, who has his Certified Financial Planner designation, joins The Retirement Network from UBS, where he was part of a private wealth management team that managed approximately $2 billion of client assets. Before joining UBS, Tim worked with Morgan Stanley in Chicago and Milwaukee.
“I’m extremely excited to join a firm that embraces its role as a fiduciary and is 100% committed to putting clients’ interests first,” Tim said. “Throughout my career, I’ve found that being able to put a plan on paper and then walking through various scenarios with clients gives them confidence that they are on the right path.”
Tim said that the depth of The Retirement Network’s expertise in investment planning and tax planning were other factors that attracted him to the firm. “It’s an honor to join a team of this caliber, and I look forward to supporting my colleagues as we help clients reach their goals.”
A native of Buffalo Grove, Tim earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Tim and his wife live in Wheaton with their two sons (ages 13 and 6) and daughter (age 11). When he isn’t shuttling his kids to baseball tournaments, swim meets, or music classes, Tim enjoys following the Cubs and Bears.
